Future Island Impact’s mission is to promote tidal energy as a renewable, clean energy resource for coastal communities.
Tidal, wave and river currents can provide significant amounts of renewable energy with low environmental impact. But marine technologies need to be deployed widely to achieve decarbonization goals. Unlocking the capacity, scale, supply chain, and financing puzzle while protecting ecosystems is critical to meeting zero-carbon energy targets.
